For objects with `N` prefix depth, this PR reduces `N` such network
operations by converting `CheckFile` into a single bulk operation.
Reduction in chattiness here would allow disks to be utilized more
cleanly, while maintaining the same functionality along with one
extra volume check stat() call is removed.
Update tests to test multiple sets scenario
Rewrite parentIsObject() function. Currently if a client uploads
a/b/c/d, we always check if c, b, a are actual objects or not.
The new code will check with the reverse order and quickly quit if
the segment doesn't exist.
So if a, b, c in 'a/b/c' does not exist in the first place, then returns
false quickly.
- Implement a new xl.json 2.0.0 format to support,
this moves the entire marshaling logic to POSIX
layer, top layer always consumes a common FileInfo
construct which simplifies the metadata reads.
- Implement list object versions
- Migrate to siphash from crchash for new deployments
for object placements.
Fixes#2111
This PR is to ensure that we call the relevant object
layer APIs for necessary S3 API level functionalities
allowing gateway implementations to return proper
errors as NotImplemented{}
This allows for all our tests in mint to behave
appropriately and can be handled appropriately as
well.
Instead of GlobalContext use a local context for tests.
Most notably this allows stuff created to be shut down
when tests using it is done. After PR #9345 9331 CI is
often running out of memory/time.
To conform with AWS S3 Spec on ETag for SSE-S3 encrypted objects,
encrypt client sent MD5Sum and store it on backend as ETag.Extend
this behavior to SSE-C encrypted objects.
This PR is the first set of changes to move the config
to the backend, the changes use the existing `config.json`
allows it to be migrated such that we can save it in on
backend disks.
In future releases, we will slowly migrate out of the
current architecture.
Fixes#6182
Verify() was being called by caller after the data
has been successfully read after io.EOF. This disconnection
opens a race under concurrent access to such an object.
Verification is not necessary outside of Read() call,
we can simply just do checksum verification right inside
Read() call at io.EOF.
This approach simplifies the usage.
It can happen that an incoming PutObject() request might
have inputs of following form eg:-
- bucketName is 'testbucket'
- objectName is '/'
bucketName exists and was previously created but there
are no other objects in this bucket. In a situation like
this parentDirIsObject() goes into an infinite loop.
Verifying that if '/' is an object fails on both backends
but the resulting `path.Dir('/')` returns `'/'` this causes
the closure to loop onto itself.
